the front “garden” - September 18th, 2006
Progress report:
The old front of the house looked like this…
the inside of that fence looked like this…
now with a new fence and garden beds gone, it looks like this…
the plan is to clean the bricks, and re-lay them as pavers so that it’s one nice flat surface inside the fence.
but that will have to wait until the drainage issue is fixed up, you see upon cleaning out the front garden, it was observed that the drain pipe from the house just empties into the front garde, well, under the front of the house really, which might explain why the house has moved so much, it’s probably been doing it for 20 years or so.
So it will have to be connected to the (apparently non-existent) storm water drain. So that should be fun / time consuming / expensive. One step forward, 2 steps back.
